Covid-19 Message from our Founders

To our Yay Lunch Family,

We wanted to reach out personally to let you know how Yay Lunch is working with you and your schools during this difficult time.

First, please know that we have proactively canceled all lunches scheduled in your account during the time of your school’s temporary closure. We want to ensure we are making this transition as easy as possible for you and your family, so there are no lunches or charges in your account.

Second, we will monitor your school’s closure decisions and manage your account accordingly. In other words, no orders will come through until your school is back in session, and when your school is back in session, we will send a reminder to order to make sure your kids have healthy delicious lunches delivered fresh from Yay Lunch when they return.

Lastly, once we do resume service to your schools, we will continue to follow our strict food quality process with even more procedures put in place. In addition to our regular tote cleaning, our Brand Ambassadors will be following CDC guidelines to prevent illness - this includes contactless deliveries. One of the advantages that we have is that the same person delivers lunches to the same school every day, limiting unnecessary and variable contact. Rest assured that all of our vendor partners practice strict health code procedures when preparing food and will continue to do so with greater cognizance.

As parents of school-age children, we know how trying this time can be. We are grateful that we get to take lunch off your to-do list during the school year and look forward to resuming service once your schools are back up and running.

In the meantime, we hope you are staying healthy during this time of uncertainty and enjoying some quality time at home with your families.
